- Who has access to the National Forum Nursing Workforce Minimum Datasets? The Minimum datasets are available on our website and available to anyone. Click here to go to this page.
- What data can be accessed? There are no publicly available datasets through the National Forum. The Minimum Datasets are a set of recommendations on how to collect data in individual states.
- What national workforce data is being collected by the National Forum? The National Forum collaborates with the the National Council of State Boards of Nursing to collect a national nursing workforce sample survey every other year. More information about this survey is available here.
- What online resources are available? For Associate and State Representative Subscribers an extensive membership portal provides a directory, discussion forums, access to national committee work, nursing workforce resources and monthly sharing sessions.
- What are sharing sessions? Each month the National Forum hosts an open sharing session on a variety of topics. Nursing workforce centers are invited to provide brief presentations on their work and participants discuss how to implement in their states. Past topics have included Demand data collection, statewide staffing, clinical practice programs, nurse recognition programs, DEI initiatives and more. Sharing sessions are only available to Associate and State Representative Subscribers and notes from each session are available within the membership portal.
- What are the National Forum committees? A benefit of Associate and State Subscriptions is participation on national committees. National Committees work on components of the National Forum strategic plan. 2022 -2024 Strategic Plan- June Current committees include Governance, Finance, National Nursing Workforce Center Bill, Online Journal of Nursing Workforce, Subscriber Engagement and Development, JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion), Research, Annual Conference and State Advocacy.

- Who can be a public subscriber? Anyone with an interest in nursing workforce.
- What is the cost of a Public Subscription? There is not cost to a public subscription.
- Does the Public subscription expire? No, once you sign-up through our newsletter provider MailChimp you will remain on the email list until you choose to unsubscribe. There are unsubscribe links at the bottom of each email. Please note that if you have blocked all emails from MailChimp that you will not receive our emails.

- What is the cost of an Associate Subscription? $99/year for an individual subscription
- Does an Associate Subscription expire? Yes, the subscription will end one year from sign-up unless renewed. Automatic renewals are available.
State Representative Subscriber FAQs
- Who can be a State Representative Subscriber? Only one organization for each state/territory. Click here to view a map of our current state subscribers. - What is the cost of a State Representative Subscription? $700/year for an organizational subscription
- Does a State Representative Subscription expire? Yes, subscriptions must be renewed by March 31st for each calendar year subscription.
